The Russian Defense Ministry has said it has reached a deal to evacuate wounded Ukrainian fighters from the Azovstal steel plant in Mariupol.Ukraine's defense ministry says 264 fighters have now left the plant.

[REGNUM] An agreement was reached on the removal of wounded Ukrainian Nazis blocked on the territory of the Azovstal plant in Mariupol to the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry reported on May 16.
As part of this agreement, a regime of silence has been declared in the area of ​​the plant.
"On May 16, as a result of negotiations with representatives of Ukrainian military personnel blocked on the territory of the Azovstal metallurgical plant in Mariupol, an agreement was reached on the removal of the wounded," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.
"Currently, a silence regime has been introduced in the area of ​​​​the enterprise and a humanitarian corridor has been opened, along which wounded Ukrainian servicemen are delivered to a medical facility in Novoazovsk of the Donetsk People’s Republic to provide them with all the necessary assistance," the Russian military specified.
Recall that the Nazis from the Azov Regiment (an organization whose activities are banned in the Russian Federation), as well as other Ukrainian security forces, are blocked on the territory of the Azovstal plant.
According to some reports, among them there may be about 600 wounded of varying severity.
