'76' Gas-Station Chain Repograms Washington State Pumps For $10 A Gallon |
2022-05-20 |
[ZeroHedge] Gas station pumps in Washington state are being reprogrammed to accommodate $10 a gallon and even higher as the summer driving season begins amid tight fuel supplies, according to a report. The Post Millennial has learned gas station chain "76" has reprogrammed its pumps to include double-digit numbers in "price per gallon" at Washington state gas stations. A 76 spokesperson confirmed to The Post Millennial they added an extra digit to pumps, noting the change doesn't necessarily imply the company was anticipating prices above $10 a gallon. The 76 gas station in Auburn, Washington, located at 1725 Auburn Way North, is one of the stations that has had reprogrammed pumps. It also sells high-octane race fuel, which tends to be more expensive, though the special fuel is sold at separate pumps than regular, plus, premium, and diesel. |

#10 Left Can't Meme, #whatever There was a meme going around, and it has been a few months, and sure AF hasn't popped up recently, going something like we should have a better appreciation and perhaps learn some sophistication now that our gasoline prices are the same as what the British have always been paying. I'm not sure "Close your eyes and think of England" at the pump was the intention, but it was the message. |

#9 Looks like we Americans can't do Communism better than anyone else after all. Still, the Left will persist. |

#8 a lot of stations have pumps that use LED for digits but the large overhead signs frequently don't and will need to replaced Better get on it. I saw that at least one caught fire trying to keep up with price changes. |

#6 This is being discussed in my area of Maryland. $10 Dollars a gallon mid summer. This is realistic as we are in stagflation now. So as prices go up with no limit in sight, people are reducing purchasing. |

#5 If they're going to go through the exercise of replacing pump displays, and other signs, they may as well add another digit at the same time. That way, they'll be prepared until gas reaches 999.99 9/10. |

#3 That is totally unnecessary. Just change the unit of measure to pint or cup. |
