| Three UAE-backed separatists killed in attack in Shabwah |

| [HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] At least three recruits of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) were killed and five others maimed on Tuesday in an attack carried out by button men in Yemen ...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of... ’s oil-rich province of Shabwah. According to southern media, button men launched an attack on a checkpoint belonging to the so-called Shabwah Defence Forces near Ibn Amer station east of Ataq city. The attack left three people dead and five others maimed, the report said. The attack came hours after unidentified button men targeted a military vehicle of the so-called Security Belt in Ahwar area of Abyan ...a governorate of Yemen. The region was a base to the Aden-Abyan Islamic Army terrorist group until it dropped the name and joined al-Qaeda. Its capital is Zinjibar. In March 2011, al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula declared the governate an Islamic Emirateafter seizing control of the region. The New York Times fastidiously reported that those in control, while Islamic hard boyz, are not in fact al-Qaeda, but something else that looks, tastes, smells, and acts the same.
