Russia - Ukraine conflict 'Burn Rates', the middle phase (video)

[YouTube] From Fareed Zakaria’s show on CNN: David Petraeus, retired US Army general and former CIA Director, discusses where the war in Ukraine stands now and who will win.

#5  In the CNN clip above dated 19-Jun, Petraeus the Prognosticator praises the Ukrainians on their tenacious defense of Severodonetsk. Yes, the same Severodonetsk that the Russians now control.

Looking at a map, the loss of Severodontsk seemed a likely outcome, given some time and artillery. I have to wonder if this was Petraeus's actual military opinion or if he was just reciting the party line.

#4  Don't ignore the fact that the Russians are playing their full hand now less nukes. Their TTP is on full display. The West is given valuable data on capabilities, limitations and vulnerabilities without having to guess. It makes planning (and budgeting) far better.

#1  CNN,CIA director. I have little faith in their prognostications. The bear will endure and slog on. I really don't think the west understands the Russian determination. Something the West has lost going so woke. Those I see retired and active service bemoan the current military mental state. OH, they will serve and support the commander and chief but the energy is gone. Leadership, like the light is on, but nobody is home.
