And therein lies the rub - to do so puts a politician in the one place that they endeavor with all their effort to avoid being found: On the record. FWIW, I think that's the real reason for all the venom from the congresscritters - they can fix Dobbs in a literal matter of hours were they so inclined, but not one of 'em wants to go on the record for or against.
