Expert attributes Japan's former PM assassination to security failures
2022-07-10
[Shafaq] A security expert says the personal security for former Japanese prime minster Abe Shinzo was inadequate, following his fatal shooting.
NO!!! An unbelievable conclusion based on the evidence.
Abe was shot on Friday while delivering a speech on the street in the western prefecture of Nara.

NHK world-Japan quoted former police officer and security expert Ito Koichi making comments after analyzing footage showing the attacker wandering around with a bag and walking straight up to Abe.

Ito said that when observing such suspicious behavior, the person must be kept away even before asking questions and inspecting belongings.

He also pointed out that coppers failed to effectively coordinate with each other to make appropriate responses.

#10  Yeah, this one I'll believe. I don't think former foreign nation presidents sit around tweeting about Hillary's arrest. Besides, we have guys like John Durham to investigate. Oh, wait, sorry.....

#8  Evidently a "fact check" was done on Abe's twitter post and said it was faked. Of course, you know what that means.

#7  From Skidmark’s link:

Unemployed Yamagami, 41, told investigators he acted because he believed rumors that Abe was connected to an organization that he resents, police said. Neighbours described him as a loner who did not reply when spoken to.

Japanese media reported that the man had developed hatred toward a religious group that his mother was obsessed about and that caused his family financial problems. The reports did not specify the group.

#5  If you could touch the barrels off one at a time, it could be useful. All at once would just be overkill, and probably hard to control.
