Covid-19 public health emergency extended in the US
2022-07-16
[CNN] Sorry
The Biden administration on Friday extended the Covid-19 public health emergency for another three months.

The emergency declaration has been in place since January 2020, and the latest renewal comes as the Omicron offshoot BA.5, the most contagious variant yet, continues to stake its claim in the US. Daily case rates, though vastly undercounted, are the highest they’ve been in months, as are Covid-19 hospitalizations and deaths.
Hospitalizations are up from rock-bottom of 1,415 on April 26, 2022 -- up to 4,180 Thursday. Compare with 26,019 on Jan. 23, 2022, and 29,733 on Jan. 6, 2021.

Deaths totaled 3,152 over the last seven days, down from 6,869 in a single day, three weeks after Joe took office - Feb. 13, 2021.

It's over, folks.

#6  Kind of like the War on _____________ (fill in the blank).

And the Feds can continue to send money to blue cash-strapped states. Something about those pension funds in, for example, CA and IL.

#4  Only 2% of young children eligible for the coof vaxx have parents dumb enough to take them to get it. It's over, no matter what the media and the politicians (but I repeat myself) say.

#3  As others have said, if an emergency gives the government more power, then the emergency will never end.

#1  I know of only one person who has tested positive. That person was fully vaxed. Couple of people at church still wear masks. I wonder if they are still handing out emergency money to businesses, and, if so, who is getting the cash.
