Mykola speaks about the terrorist killing of civilians that that led to his decision to fight the Russians, how Russians blame "Americans and Jews" for the war in Donbas, and what it will take to win and end this bloody war. Set during the Donbas invasion in 2014, "Sniper: The White Raven'' is a Ukrainian war movie completed before the 2022 Russian invasion. It’s based on the true story of pacifist and school teacher Mykola Voronin, who enlisted in the Ukrainian Army and became a sniper after seeing atrocities committed by Russian troops. Inspired by true events and created with support from the Ukrainian government and participation of members of the Ukrainian armed forces and national guard.
