The individual was taken to hospital for treatment, the military said, and an investigation into the incident was underway. The military said security forces called to the man to stop his advance toward their location and fired warning shots into the air. When he failed to heed their warnings, he was shot. According to Hebrew-language media reports, the man was hit in the lower extremities and was taken to the Rabin Medical Center in Petah Tikva (also known as Beilinson Hospital) in moderate condition. Citing Paleostinian sources, Ynet reported that the man may be mentally unwell. |
