Beef prices set to surge further as farmers sell off cattle herds |

#2 If they didn’t have to slaughter the cattle because of the lack of food they’d have to do it to prevent nitrogen and CO2 emissions. The vegetarians are in charge. |

#1 The usual suspects want to scare you, but irradiated beef can store for far longer. It does lose the 'fresh' taste of recently slaughtered variety if you are a gourmand. |
