  • It follows the fatal shootings of three other Muslim men within a five-mile radius of each other in New Mexico over the last nine months

  • The first victim was Afghan chef Mohammad Ahmadi, 62, found outside the cafe he ran with his brother - Ariana Halal Market & Cafe - on November 7
    ...the brothers emigrated to the U.S. with their father in the 1980s.
  • The second was 41-year-old Pakistani-born restaurant busser Aftab Hussein, who moved to New Mexico in 2016
    ...recently engaged to a girl back home, was saving up to bring her here
  • On Monday the third victim was killed: 27-year-old city planner and community organizer Muhammad Afzaal Hussain, also originally from Pakistan
    ...came in 2017 for grad school, then stayed, joined by his brother and his brother’s kids.
  • Medina said police would be increasing patrol in Muslim neighborhoods

:-) One wonders if it was all attacks of opportunity, or if they all happen go to the same Af-Pak mosque. Also, does the surname Ahmadi mean he is one, as opposed to a “proper” Moslem?

#12  I don't think it is Islamic terror because they usually go for one big slaughter where they die along with the victims. Other than Malvo there is little of the Dexter stuff in the Islamic killing. It is more of an ADD thing.
Once you rule out Islamic terror, you are kind of in the realm of a demonic predator. Undoubtably, we will be adding the "known by law enforcement" cliche to the recipe retrospectively.

#1  They may be targeted. However, given one or two people are shot everyday there (first thing to look for in the local website), a whole lot of descriptive categories boxes could be checked by all the gun fire.
