  • U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents searched the 28-year-old and found the money and one of the guns under her bodysuit

  • CBP agents located the other weapon hidden in the vehicle

  • Moriya was turned over to the Webb County Sheriff's Office and charged with money laundering

  • She is the daughter of Artemio Moriya, who is the mayor of the Michoacán municipality of Tacámbaro

#5  ^ The guns were .45 and 9mm. Under Mexican law, only gummint, police and military can possess arms utilizing those "military" calibers. Hence the popularity of .38 Super among civilian Mexican handgun owners.
