Second woman who sabotaged the Dakota Access Pipeline is sentenced to six years in prison
2022-09-24
[HotAir] It was a little more than five years ago when two women, Jessica Reznicek
...age 40, who has a listing on the Anarchist Black Cross Federation site as one of their political prisoners...
and Ruby Montoya,
...who discovered the hard way that the free lawyer provided by the Movement considers the Movement its client, then promptly got her own lawyer and apparently started singing to the Feds...
confessed to having sabotaged the Dakota Access Pipeline and damaged construction equipment being used to complete it. Neither Reznicek nor Montoya were caught in the act but they decided to announce their own guilt to draw more attention to the effort to stop the pipeline.

That effort didn’t work as planned but it did open them both up to federal charges. As I pointed out here, 84 Members of Congress subsequently sent a letter to the DOJ asking if both Reznicek and Montoya qualified as domestic terrorists.

It took two years before the pair were finally charged and initially they agreed to a joint defense. They both pleaded guilty to one charge in exchange for the government dropping a number of other charges. But that all changed around the time Reznicek was sentenced in 2021. Montoya hired a new attorney and attempted to withdraw her guilty plea.

#10  I moved this to Fifth Column because the ladies were full time activists for yet another tentacle of the Black Bloc anarcho-communist syndicate that includes Antifa and Black Lives Matter.

#7  #5 LOL, I think the same... is it Purple Microdot or Red Dragon? I believe it's for Liberal Social Democrat but I could be wrong as I tend to be. I still prefer "commie".

#6  Hell, I still think the Air Force showing the location of the cockpit still has to do with airplanes.

#5  I keep seeing this " group of LSD ".
I'm so old that LSD means Tim Leary and acid.

What does it mean now? Please, someone?

#4  I'll also add that I could do with fewer "empowered women."

#3  I'm with #1 NN2N1 entirely. If someone makes a public confession, what is the problem with arresting and trying them? They just save the police a whole lot of time. And the purpose of laws is to put people who break them in jail. Period.

#2  Soon to be pardoned no doubt.

The pair publicly confessed, and the FBI doesn't arrest them and the DOJ doesn't indict them for years?

Why?
Was it for votes and because they were part of a group of LSD agenda Earth 1st climate _something___ supporters?

But,
then you look at how quickly (Days, Weeks) the DOJ/FBI/_ _ _ acted regarding the JAN 6th protesters.

A normal voter can't help but draw a conclusion that the DC LSD's system begrudgingly and politically acted.
