| Can the FBI's Reputation Sink Any Lower? |

| [SPECTATOR.ORG] This week Department of Justice (DOJ) Special Counsel John Durham will begin presenting evidence in the trial of Igor Danchenko, the serial liar whom the FBI used as its "source" to justify spying on the Trump campaign. Durham has already made a bombshell disclosure that the FBI secretly put Danchenko on the bureau’s payroll despite knowing that the information he fed them was fabricated. There is much speculation that more evidence of the bureau’s misconduct will be revealed as the Danchenko trial unfolds. Danchenko was the principal "source" for bogus tales about former President Donald Trump ...The tack in the backside of the Democratic Party... , including the infamous (and fictional) pee tape. | #10 A national police force may well be one of the motives behind the Defund the Police and Elect Crime-Friendly DA's. Like the War on Energy/Fossil fuel vehicles to move most people into urban environments reliant on mass transit, and the push for cyber currency and an end to paper records. Consider the power center those collective policies create on the Potomac, and who runs large parts of it now. |

So...how many drugs is door knocker on, or does it not count if he quits smoking meth before midnight? About the only thing more awkward than the backing up is Sergeant Syrup rolling in from the tree row. Not a good look. |

| #2 A very real threat could be the federalization or subordination of selected local law enforcement agencies by embedding advisors or special detachments within senior decision maker chains of command. As local law enforcement agencies are unable to respond or cope with increasing crime and violence, federalization of those agencies would permit the federal government to exercise operational control. The current "Defund the Police" movement could bring about a further deterioration of local law enforcement and require such a federalization. This expanded FBI mission would require personnel augmentation to key geographic areas. The first phase of this augmentation could see an initial surge of 80,000 additional federal agents. |
