82-Year-Old Democrat Senator Patrick Leahy Hospitalized
2022-10-14
[THEGATEWAYPUNDIT] Democrat Senator Patrick "Leaky" Leahy
...Democrat Senator-for-Life from Vermont, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, source of more leaks than a plumber could keep up with...
, 82, was hospitalized on Thursday evening after not feeling well.

Leahy will remain in the hospital overnight, according to the Vermont Senator’s office.

Rooters reported:

U.S. Senator Patrick Leahy, 82, was taken to a Washington area hospital "as a precaution" on Thursday after not feeling well at his home in Virginia, his office said.

The Democrat from Vermont was expected to undergo tests and "remain overnight for observation," Leahy’s office said in a written statement.

No further details were released on the senator’s condition. The statement said his office would release updates as they became available.

Leahy was elected to the United States senate in 1974 and serves as the president pro tempore of the senate.

#6  If Sen. Leahy should die, what're the odds the governor of Vermont, a Republican, would appoint another Republican? If so, it'd upset the balance of power in the Senate. Just the idea of it would be a source of endless complaints from the progressives prior to the appointment. Said stream of complaints might persuade the governor to nominate an Independent or a Democrat instead of an R. Sure hope not.

#5  We need to term limit the unelected guys first otherwise our votes will continue to do little good.

#4  I think if every elected official in Washington had to submit to a biometric scan and answer three "security questions" of their choosing every time they entered the Capitol or the White House, most would forget the answers to one or more of the questions almost immediately, thereby locking themselves out of office.

No way could it not be an immediate improvement.

#3  I was thinking more along the lines of voluntary euthanasia, but term limits will do, if you get them here quick.

#2  A great argument for term limits.
