Former China President Abruptly Escorted From Party Congress
2022-10-23
[ZeroHedge] “Mr. Hu "was not feeling well during the session" and left to rest in a room next to the meeting venue. "Now, he is much better,"
Yes. much much better.
As a reminder, Hu Jintao advocated maintaining good relations with the U.S., and was also an opponent of a military solution to the Taiwan issue. As SouthFront suggests, the former CPC Chairman’s escorting out of the hall is a clear demonstration of the renewed anti-Western foreign policy of Beijing, which, apparently, is ready for all measures, defending its sovereignty and the role of a superpower in the modern world.

#8  Exactly what Trump will have to do here if he is re-elected. Of course, all the usual suspects will screech "That's not who we are..."

#5  @#1 No need to apologize, Raj, but it did make me think about saying something about taxi drivers and 7-11 shops and accountants. :-)

#4  We already have greater firepower. The problem is that when you have such firepower, every problem looks like a hospital.

China is horribly and uniquely vulnerable to a US blockade of its oil supplies in the Middle East. The moment they start anything, we turn off the energy supplies like we did to Germany. China will deindustrialize rapidly just like Germany is going to do over the next 6-12 months.

#3  Peace through greater fire power, Spike the Hairy6811. It’s a sad characteristic of totalitarians that they’re either at your feet or at your throat.

Also, it’s going to take a great deal of rebuilding to fix the military after we drive out the Democrats and their fellow travellers.

#2  "Of course, the question remains, is it now in the Deep State's favor to make it seem like there is political discord at the top in China - remember, an unstable China is a 'dangerous' China, that will require much bigger State and Defense Department budgets to battle not to mention serve as a generous source of revenue for the Lockheeds and Raytheons of the world for years to come."

This is the correct answer.

#1  First off, let me apologize for my comment yesterday on former Grandmaster Hu, where I was hoping for a few egg rolls out of the deal. Egg rolls and spring rolls are the best, and I got hosed here.

Lament aside, it was really insensitive of me to associate a person of a particular ethnicity and background to certain occupations, like Chinese food cook or some dude running a laundromat or dry cleaning business (no starch!) and for that, I beg your forgiveness and understanding.

I just want to say - I can be much more insensitive than that!
