[Garowe] Microsoft founder and American billionaire Bill Gates is in Kenya for a business trip. Gates is set to meet government officials and other stakeholders in the private sector in a bid to fish for markets for American companies trading in the Genetically Modified Orgasm sector.
His travel entourage reveals that he will also visit the national and local leaders, partners, and grantees and also meet with regional scientists and innovators. Gates will announce Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation's commitment to supporting new innovations and ingenuity aimed at improving health, food security, and gender equality in African countries.
Gates will also participate in a conversation with university students at the University of Nairobi on Thursday, to learn and share perspectives on how innovative tools and approaches can bolster efforts to increase food security and support climate adaptation across Africa. The founder of the Bill and Melinda Foundation last visited the country in 2016. The Gates Foundation’s flagship agricultural program, the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa, works to transition farmers away from traditional seeds and crops to patented seeds, fossil-fuel-based fertilizers, and other inputs to grow commodity crops for the global market. All that money, and he’s using it to make the world more fragile and less resilient instead of the other way round.
