  • President Joe Biden and his family attended Nantucket's annual Christmas tree lighting - with the tree failing to light up on first go

  • They spent Friday afternoon munching on cheeseburgers and lobster rolls and taking a shopping trip around town

  • The president, first lady Jill Biden, Ashley Biden, Hunter Biden, his wife Melissa and son Beau were all gathered on one side of the town square, where the tree was to be illuminated around 5pm

  • Baby Beau, who was spotted earlier slumped over Hunter's shoulders, was awake and providing some pre-show entertainment, jiggling to one of the opening acts

  • When it came time for the big moment - the tree didn't react - though was properly illuminated several moments later
Mmmm! Lobster rolls!

#5  With a green skin tone, Joe would look like the Grinch. I am sure that has been done. I avoid all images of his face so I probably missed them. I sort of expected those memes to start as soon as Walmart transitioned the grills section to Christmas.

#2  The closest I ever got to Nantucket was to take a ferry boat ride there from the mainland. On the way I discovered the fare was not collected unless & until a passenger disembarked on the island. I didn't get off and simply enjoyed the short cruise off the coast of Massachusett, had chili & a cold beer from the ferry's restaurant, took in the sea air and enjoyed the view.
