| [NYP] The tension between former President Donald Trump and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is coming to a boil. "A boil we're raising cuz we need the clicks!" Trump fired the latest shot in the ongoing political skirmish Thursday, posting a clip of Megyn Kelly declaring that DeSantis had no shot at topping the 45th president in any potential contest for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination. "I AGREE!," Trump wrote emphatically on his Truth Social platform. Appearing on conservative pundit Dave Rubin’s BlazeTV show, Kelly said the Floridian would fold under the weight of Trump’s notoriety and the loyalty of his base. "You don’t think DeSantis is crafty enough?" Rubin asked the former Fox News personality. |

| #4 DeSantis' political instincts are not simplistic. I doubt he will fight Trump nor cozy up to him either. |

| #1 I have been amused recently at the emergence of the "Never Anyone But Trump" movement. I don't bother going to CON-servative Treehouse anymore because of all the "DeSantis is the deep state" nonsense. I personally hope Ron DeSantis does not run in 2024. Until efforts are made at the state level around the country to clean up the voting mess as it exists right now, why should he subject himself to that? |
