| Gunmen fire at Israeli car, troops in W. Bank; cars burned in Palestinian village |

| [IsraelTimes] No reports of injuries in any of the incidents in the Nablus area overnight Paleostinian button men shot up an Israeli car and at military forces in two separate incidents in the northern West Bank Sunday night, the army and Paleostinians said. There were no casualties in either shooting. In one case, the military said button men shot up an Israeli vehicle near the Havat Gilad outpost. Troops searched the area and found several bullet casings. The Nablus-based, loosely organized terror group known as Lion’s Den grabbed credit for the shooting in a statement. In the second, the Paleostinian Islamic Jihad ...created after many members of the Egyptian Moslem Brotherhood decided the organization was becoming too moderate. Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. They worked out of Gaza until they were exiled to Lebanon in 1987, where they clove tightly to Hezbollah. In 1989 they moved to Damascus, where they remain a subsidiary of Hezbollah... terror group (PIJ) claimed to have fired at a military checkpoint near Nablus. There was no immediate comment from the army. Channel 12 news reported that later in the night, Paleostinian vehicles were set alight in the village of Burin near Nablus, possibly by Death Eater settlers. There was no immediate comment from the police. On Friday Paleostinian button men fired shots toward the settlement of Shaked, west of the Paleostinian city of Jenin. Slight damage was caused to a home but no one was injured. A local wing of PIJ grabbed credit for the attack. The settlement has recently been targeted several times. |
