| The U.S. Extends SIV Plus Extra 4,000 Visas to Afghans |

| [KhaamaPress] Joe Biden, the U.S. president, signed the extension of the Special Immigrant Visa program along with additional 4,000 visas for Afghans employed on behalf of the U.S. Government on 30th of December 2022. The Omnibus spending bill includes several programs, including SIV visas, crucial assistance to Ukraine, safety, disaster recovery, violence against women, and medical research. Some American MPs had hoped that a year-end government budget package would address the Afghans’ immigration status.
