]RIA Novosti] Volunteers and mobilized tankers from the 59th Tank Regiment, 144th Motorized Rifle Division of the Western Military District told how the computer games they played "in civilian life" helped them develop a strategy in the fight against the enemy.
Earlier, RIA Novosti obtained footage of a unique tank duel between three tanks of the Western Military District and two Ukrainian tanks in the Donbass. According to updated data, mobilized fighters and volunteers from the 59th tank regiment participated in it.
"Of course, we played it, the combat concept, the use of tactics, of course, all this helps. This is also an experience, at first it was scary, then we got used to this work," a volunteer fighter with the call sign “Dim Dimych” told reporters.
His colleagues confirmed that this experience was useful to them at the front.
