2023-01-17
Beware the onion Jihadi!
[Jpost] The 10 Philippines Airlines crew members arrived in the country on two separate flights, one from Dubai and one from Riyadh on Friday, and were caught by customs with 27 kg of onions, 10.5 kg of lemons and a kilogram of strawberries and blueberries, local media sources reported.

The confiscated foods were found in the flight attendants' suitcases when they arrived at Manila International Airport.

#9  Does it rain a lot? You need a dry season to finish onions if you want them to keep.

#8  I've had wild onions growing on every property I ever owned and seen them on many properties as a kid. Is there something about Philippine dirt that makes onions difficult to grow?

#3  Reminds me of a Beverly Hillbillies episode where Jethro took up with some hippies:

Jethro: "Granny's out back smokin' crawdads."

Hippie: "You think Granny would let us smoke some crawdads?"
