The U.S. Ambassador to Pakistain, Donald Blome, ensured his government’s support for Pakistain during his visit with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday.
"The United States with continue to support Pakistain’s efforts for economic development and post-flood recovery, which has adversely affected the country’s economy," the Prime Minister’s Office quoted in an official blurb.
For his part, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif thanked the U.S. for its continued support for Pakistain’s post-flood reconstruction and rehabilitation, and for donating to Pakistain during these difficult times.

The premier reiterated that Pakistain places significant importance on its enduring relations with the U.S., and reaffirmed to the expansion of economic and trade engagement with Washington. He also added that it is crucial for U.S. and Pakistain to coordinate in achieving both countries’ shared goals in the region and beyond.
