| UAE-backed mercenary leader hijacks bus in Abyan |

| [HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] A military commander in the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) has hijacked a bus belonging to the Unity Cement Company in Abyan ...a governorate of Yemen. The region was a base to the Aden-Abyan Islamic Army terrorist group until it dropped the name and joined al-Qaeda. Its capital is Zinjibar. In March 2011, al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula declared the governate an Islamic Emirateafter seizing control of the region. The New York Times fastidiously reported that those in control, while Islamic hard boyz, are not in fact al-Qaeda, but something else that looks, tastes, smells, and acts the same. Yemeni government forces launched an effort to re-establish control of the region when President-for-Life Saleh was tossed and the carnage continues... province, south of Yemen ...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of.... "Take me to Cuba!" Local news quoted an official at the Unity Cement Company, Bates, in Abyan, that the son of the commander of the security belt operations in the STC made a phone call to the company’s management threatening that if the company wouldn’t help him to travel to Cairo for treatment, he would kidnap the chief engineer of the factory in the company, Engineer Mohammed Abdel Moneim. The official called on the leadership of the STC militia in Abyan to take the necessary measures to prevent and repeat such behaviors. |
