[HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] At least three militia memebers of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC), including a senior commander, were killed and four injured on Monday in Abyan

In March 2011, al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula declared the governate an Islamic Emirate after seizing control of the region. The New York Times fastidiously reported that those in control, while Islamic hard boyz, are not in fact al-Qaeda, but something else that looks, tastes, smells, and acts the same. Media sources close to the STC reported that unknown button men targeted a military vehicle with an bomb in Wadi Omran area of Mudiyah district, leaving 3 dead, including the leader, Ali Aidarous al-Hard, injuring four others, and damaging the vehicle.

This came after the STC militia carried out large-scale raids on the villages of al-Jableh area in the same district, under the pretext of searching for wanted persons, and kidnapped nearly 3 civilians from the area.
