Bodycam footage shows moment cops take out Nashville school shooter Audrey Hale
2023-03-29
See also here. Day 1 can be seen here, Day 2 here and here. She apparently informed a friend that she was committing suicide that day. She did not mention she intended suicide by cop.
[NYPOST] Police have released frightening bodycam footage of the moment officers took out mass shooter Audrey Hale after she opened fire and massacred six people at The Covenant School.

The footage, released by the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, shows officers Rex Englebert and Michael Collazo storming through the school’s hallways as they methodically hunted down the 28-year-old mass killer on Monday.

Soon after entering the building, the heroic cops could be seen rushing towards an atrium on the second floor of the private Christian academy while repeatedly shouting "shots fired."

As they rounded the corner and laid eyes on Hale, the bodycam shows officers rapidly firing as the shooter blasted bullets in their direction.

Seconds later, Hale could be seen dropping to the floor.

The footage shows cops cautiously approaching the shooter’s limp body as they screamed "don’t move" and "get your hands away from the gun."

Hale, who was armed with two rifles and a handgun, was killed in the shootout.

The mass killer — dressed in a red hat backward, military fatigue pants, and a dark vest — had earlier been captured on surveillance video casually stalking the hallways for victims as cops were rushing towards the scene.

Police said Hale managed to gain access to the school by pumping bullets through the glass doors on the side of the building.

After unleashing a reign of deadly terror, the shooter then started firing at arriving officers from the second-story window where she was eventually taken out.

Nashville school shooter Audrey Hale's mom begs for privacy: 'I think I lost my daughter'

[NYPOST] The gun-control-self-proclaimed genius mom of Nashville school shooter Audrey Hale begged for privacy after Monday’s mass murder, saying, "I think I lost my daughter today."

"It is very, very difficult right now," Norma Hale told ABC News when reached on the phone after her transgender
...mutton, dressed up as pork...
child killed six, including three 9-year-old students. "I can’t talk to you."

The proud Christian mom — who has regularly posted on social media about the need to "Keep Guns Out of School" in anguish over previous massacres — did not mention the victims as she asked for privacy during the brief chat.

The reference to her "daughter" also appeared to be at odds with the mass killer’s LinkedIn profile using "he/him" pronouns and at times using the male name Aiden.

Police on Monday said officers were still investigating whether Hale’s transgender identity played any part in the motive, which appeared to have been outlined in a manifesto.

#19  ^^^--- You misspelled "Edited".

Yes, I'ts sad that the FBI has sunk so low that you have to assume they will do this.

#18  It is being reported that Hale’s “manifesto” will be made public after it has been analyzed by the FBI.

#17  If someone comes in with pink hair and a ring in their nose, I don't support shooting them if unarmed, but a moderate hickory shampoo, perhaps!

#16  We have TONS of former Marine Infantry and Rangers who I'm sure would happily take a job working at a school with the mandate "If someone comes in shooting, exterminate them with EXTREME prejudice."

#14  ^ Shhhhhh... If the SWAT and feeb HRT people get a read on how that worked out, regular cops will be banned from responding the way these guys did.

#13  No disrespect intended, but I'll take a "pell-mell" response over dead children and teachers any day. Thankfully, waiting for a SWAT team or FBI HRT to climb into their pickle-suits, kevlar head gear, aviator gloves, and armored vehicles did NOT appear to be an option.

No telling how many people were saved.

BTW, I'm delighted the confused little SOB has turned in her Social Security Card.

#12  ^ Yes, having armed personnel (with the training the officers in the video displayed) in place prior to the incident could have averted even more tragedy.

"The coward from Broward" they were not.

#11  #7 Props to ALL of the commenters to this point. I thought the response team was a little Pell-mell but they did not run away, they ran to the sound of the guns. I owe you.

The response team reacted perfectly - absolutely no hesitation. I did not sense they were pell-mell at all. To be able to quickly find, fix, and finish in a chaotic situation with innocents present is a hard task. Especially when the target is moving and engaging you in return. Their urgency is trained...they are tasked to eliminate the threat as fast as possible before they can kill another child...no matter the cost to themselves or the team.

Their comms, C2 from the hall boss, movement/weapons orientation, accuracy, and sense of purpose were all near perfect.

The killer was eliminated within 17 minutes of entering the school (in a school that did not appear to have an SRO). From the initial call until termination that is unprecedented.

#2  Blaze - GOP senator urges FBI, DHS to launch probe of Nashville shooting as a 'hate crime'

Republican Sen. Josh Hawley of Missouri is calling for the federal government to investigate the deadly shooting perpetrated at a Christian school in Nashville, Tennessee, on Monday as a hate crime.

"I urge you to immediately open an investigation into this shooting as a federal hate crime," Hawley wrote in a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray and Homeland Security Sec. Alejandro Mayorkas. "The full resources of the federal government must be brought to bear to determine how this crime occurred, and who may have influenced the deranged shooter to carry out these horrific crimes. Hate that leads to violence must be condemned. And hate crimes must be prosecuted."
