| #1 The homicide fatality rate in South Africa has been over 30 per 100k people for decades. The homicide fatality rate in the USA has been about 7-9 for quite a while now (way more in big cities of course). The number of guns legally owned in South Africa is about 3 million in a population of about 60 million. However, a lot of guns are illegally owned there, perhaps another 3 million. I once had fun discussing this with a leftist acquaintance. He tried to excuse South Africa because of white oppression but since the govt has been black dominated for more than 20 years, it was amusing to see him squirm. |
