[REGNUM] Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov expressed his opinion about the possibility of the UN leaving New York, where the headquarters of the international organization is based.
When asked by journalists whether now is the right time for the UN to leave New York, Minister Lavrov answered positively: "I think it would be good."
As REGNUM reported, Sergey Lavrov arrived at the UN headquarters on April 24 , where he will head meetings of the United Nations Security Council in the next two days.
Russia chairs the UN in April. The key topics for discussion this month will be "effective multilateralism", arms exports and the risks associated with it, and the settlement of the situation in the Middle East.
