[REGNUM] More than 200 people evacuated the Russian embassy in Khartoum from Sudan. This was reported by RIA Novosti on May 1, citing an informed source.
It is specified that 203 people were evacuated from the Russian Embassy in Khartoum. Among those evacuated from Syria there are not only citizens of Russia, but also citizens of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Ukraine.
It is noted that the planes with the evacuees have already arrived in the capital of Egypt, the city of Cairo, for refueling, after which they will continue their journey to Moscow.

Since April 15, fighting has been going on in Sudan between the Rapid Reaction Forces under the command of Mohammed Hamdan Daglo and the regular army. According to the Ministry of Health of Sudan, more than 600 people died as a result of the conflict, according to WHO, 459 people died, 4072 were injured.
