[REGNUM] Once under external control, Ukraine has become one of the key "hubs" of Asian-European drug trafficking - a route for the delivery of opiates from Afghanistan to the EU countries. Now one of the main narcotic highways passes through it - the Balkan branch of this route. This was pointed out by the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Vladimir Kolokoltsev . Ironically, but almost simultaneously, albeit in a slightly different context, the Turkish press called Ukraine "European Afghanistan."
