’s supreme court has announced that at least six people allegedly accused of abducting a woman and raping on Wednesday were publically flogged in a football stadium in Kandahar province.
Taliban’s high court for the country’s Southwestern zone on Wednesday in a statement said the sentence was implemented based on the guidance of the deputy judicial officer of southern Kandahar province.
As per the announcement, the alleged criminals were accused of kidnapping a woman and a rape case, who confessed to their crimes during the investigation.
It is reported that flogging took place in front of a huge crowd at Ahamad Shahi football stadium in southern Kandahar province.
Prior to this, the supreme court of the Islamic Emirate had reported that a woman in Parwan province was flogged for committing adultery.
Taliban’s Supreme Leader Hibatullah Akhundzada had previously ordered judges to implement "Sharia limits and retribution" throughout Afghanistan.
