#1 ...If this happened - and I have my doubts - look up the story of the wargame run by the Imperial Japanese Navy just before the attack on Midway in 1942. As China and Imperial Japan share a number of cultural and institutional traits, one can be reasonably sure that the folks running the exercise were told to make sure the Ford was sunk. Mike |
