[Regnum] Vice Speaker of the Federation Council of Russia Konstantin Kosachev announced the preparation of proposals for the creation of an international tribunal for Ukraine. He said this at the foresight forum “What kind of Ukraine do we need?” on Thursday, June 1st.
“I am personally a convinced supporter of creating my own international tribunal for what is happening in Ukraine,” RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
Kosachev claims that this is a relevant and applied topic.
Earlier, Ukrainian opposition politician Viktor Medvedchuk proposed to organize an international trial of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his henchmen. According to the oppositionist, this will prevent a nuclear war.
Attempts to initiate a tribunal on the events in Ukraine are also being made in Kyiv. However, they intend to judge the Russian military and political leadership there.
At the same time, the United States and its Western allies do not support Ukraine's idea of an international tribunal against Russia, as they fear a possible threat against the leaders of their states.
