From a Friday Commment by our own Anomalous Sources
[Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce] MILWAUKEE — This week, the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce welcomes Harley-Davidson Motor Company, headquartered in Milwaukee, as the organization’s newest platinum founding member. Harley-Davidson was a regular corporate member of the LGBT Chamber since 2013.

"We are honored that Harley-Davidson has decided to increase its membership with the LGBT Chamber and become our newest platinum founding member," said Jason Rae, executive director of the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce. "Since 2013, it has been great to partner with Harley-Davidson as the company worked to recruit and retain a diverse talent pool and engage consumers of all backgrounds. We look forward to an even stronger partnership with Harley-Davidson over the next year."

Since 1903, Harley-Davidson Motor Company has fulfilled dreams of personal freedom with custom, cruiser and touring motorcycles, riding experiences and events and a complete line of Harley-Davidson motorcycle parts, accessories, general merchandise, riding gear and apparel.

"Personal freedom is the cornerstone of our purpose, which is only possible through inclusion," said Harley-Davidson Vice President of Human Resources Tonit Calaway. "Aligning our work with the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce furthers our purpose and supports members of the LGBT community — those already working for Harley-Davidson and those we hope to recruit.

As a platinum founding member of the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber, Harley-Davidson Motor Company receives a seat on the Chamber’s Leadership Advisory Council as well as other benefits over the regular corporate level.

#16  My memory is shot as I can't remember which ball park I went to after Fulton County. I was staying at the Marriot downtown for a conference (2015-ish), and I went to a game vs. the Astros before the Astros moved to the American League. There was a shuttle service available pretty close by to take you to the park.

That was when I really enjoyed baseball and watching the pitchers bat. Now, the rule changes (among other things) drive me nuts.

I'm an AL guy but never liked the DH which served to keep a bunch of washed-up players who can't play even 1B on the payroll.

#5  This wasn't freedom of choice on the part of HD. This is all being forced on them by the govt, but we are the target. Hmmmm govt using corporations to effect policy - pretty sure there's a term for that.

#1  ...HD doesn't want to be in business any more either? That's okay, I'm sure the trademarks will get good money.
