| #5 We lived across the Alabama river from Maxwell AFB in the late 50's to mid 60's. Sonic booms were common. |

| #3 During the Vietnam days, we'd be on the playground and hear the booms when the jets went supersonic as they hit the coast. A weekly occurence back then. |

| #2 DC sonic boom yesterday as F-16s scramble to intercept unresponsive plane. Joe was reportedly playing golf at Andrews when the jets roared off. I bet his Secret Service guys were excited. |
