| Saudi Arabia sends new round of military reinforcements to Aden |

| [HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] Saudi military reinforcements belonging to the so-called "Dera al-Watan" forces arrived on Saturday in Ahwar district in Abyan ...a governorate of Yemen. The region was a base to the Aden-Abyan Islamic Army terrorist group until it dropped the name and joined al-Qaeda. Its capital is Zinjibar. In March 2011, al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula declared the governate an Islamic Emirateafter seizing control of the region. On May 25, Saudi Arabia sent huge military reinforcements to the city containing one hundred military vehicles. They sent similar reinforcements at the beginning of the same month. These reinforcements come within the framework of Saudi efforts to expand the deployment of the "Dera al-Watan" forces in the stronghold of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), which occasionally vows an open war against the Saudi-backed forces as the only option to ensure survival in Aden. |
