Bud Light: 'Please Drink Our Beer Again, You Oafish Hicks'
2023-06-24
[PJ] Bud Light just ended two months of social media silence with a new online ad designed to win back boycotting customers by portraying them as "bumbling fools," according to one Twitter critic, and as "buffoon-ish whites," according to another.
Once again, the famous double down.
The beer brand’s sales have plummeted almost 30% since a brief social media campaign featuring he-who-shall-not-be-named, followed by ham-fisted reversals.

The latest attempt to win back boycotters is more ham-fisted than an entire Thanos fist made entirely out of Spam.

Here’s the spot that debuted on Twitter on Thursday:

#8  and as "buffoon-ish whites,"

I just saw the commercial at the link and note that all of the actors are Very White, which does not, as far as I am aware, reflect any community anywhere in the U.S. — except perhaps some parts of Alaska.

Why are Progressives so racist?

#6  The theme is intriguing. Instead of too drunk to fish, they went with too drunk to anything.

Its a mockery.

#5  They haven't grasped yet that its no longer a boycott. Boycott implies they might be back some day. Uh-Uh. Basically giving it away doesn't factor in the disrespect factor.

#4  Cheats and copycats crib Toby Keith's 'Trailorhood' video but without the humor and intelligence.

It looks like a good riddance video.

The Yuengling 'Flight' seems to be popular around here.

#2  It would be funny if there were planograms or other instructions for short stacking.

#1  Still seeing the usual Q-Lite isle stack of 24 can cases listed at $2 to $3 a case less than other beer brands. It seems to be the new sales norm now. To SETUP the Q-Lite product display to "look like" 2 or 3 cases were already taken.
