Family of South Carolina Army soldier who died on land navigation exercise is denied right to see his body after an autopsy - as they slam chiefs for not releasing his cause of death
2023-06-28
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
  • US Army Staff Sgt. Jaime Contreras, 40, was found unresponsive on Jun 12 on a land navigation course nearly 10 hours after he was reported missing

  • His family now says they were not allowed to view his remains and must bury the father-of-five under cloths obscuring his body

  • Army officials insist he did not die of anything nefarious, but his cause of death has not yet been released

#3  I am surprised that they have not cremated him. I would do a civilian burial at a civilian cemetery.

#1  The regulation says when wet-bulb reaches a certain point all training activities are to be suspended. It's one regulation that nearly all commands violate and will continue to be violated till individuals are tried or cashiered. Of course, now using the wrong pronoun will get you that kind of punishment. Not that I've heard anyone one died when they were misgendered.
