#19 If you tried to swim across that you would die. Hopefully Tic Toc will not go there. |

#18 We have seen bad ideas gone rogue, before. |

#17 Even if it was launched does any 'warmist' proponent understand that we are in a Interglacial during an Ice Age? The stupidity boggles the mind. |

#16 I look forward to the 572 years of EPA/NEPA review: "Progress is being made. We request boodle in the next budget" |

#15 JUST SAYING Seem to remember Signs of the Apocalypse lists this as one of the end of times. "Fourth seal: Angel blows the trumpet and 1/3 of the sun, and the moon will turn dark" |

#14 I think this is a California super train initiative. The point isn’t to actually complete the project, but rather to get money flowing to favored people with skimming plus kickbacks. In the end nothing useful will be achieved and useless facilities will remain - sort of like hosting the Olympics. |

#13 I don't think anyone anticipated a world where the rich and powerful try to make the planet uninhabitable for everyone else. |

#12 ...Lemme see if I got this straight: 1) "We need to go solar powered EVERYTHING!" 2) "We're going to cut the amount of sunlight reaching the solar powered everything." These people are mad, and they're going to take us with them. Mike |

#11 I actually did some research on this years ago. While you want sunlight on cultivated areas, it is actually possible to increase the reflectivity of the planet by treating some areas which don't need the sun, e.g., parking lots, rooftops of buildings, canals. Oceans are an interesting area where some decrease in sunlight a few hours a day wouldn't be a problem. |

#10 Isn't there something called the Clean Air Act that prohibits this stuff? Or is that irrelevant (pending Supreme Court review) if it interferes with something Joe wants to do? |

#9 You wouldn't trust most of these idiots with your car keys and they want to ask you to trust them with permanently blocking out sunlight? |

#8 The fact it can be done but not undone should give pause. Not that gerbil worming zealots have any sense of reason. |

#7 Or you can set off Yellowstone. |

#6 I should have noted that the mica mix would produce a surface with a reflectivity of about 15% as opposed to new asphalt surface having a reflectivity of about 3% |

#5 Global warming - meh. Global cooling - ice age |

#4 a relatively low cost global cooling measure would be to mix more mica into asphalt road surfaces in theory, the cooler surface would also deteriorate somewhat more slowly There was an effort underway on this during the W administration but it was pretty small scale and I don't think they were able to fund the monitoring needed to establish the actual impacts. |

#3 Hey, they're already in the dark, and think the rest of us should join them. |

#1 I think the [Putin, Iran, NKor...] nuclear winter will take care of that. |
