| Southern separatist commander's residence attacked by gunmen |

It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of... ’s southeastern Shabwah province. According to sources, button men believed to be belonging to the Islah party shelled the house of Wajdi Baoum, commander of the Second Brigade of Shabwah Defense, with RPG shell in south of Ataq city. Sources added that the shelling caused extensive material damage to the house while the commander Baoum miraculously survived. The attack on Baoum’s house came as part of the conflict between UAE-backed factions and Saudi-backed factions in the province. It is worth mentioning that Islah Special Security Forces accused Baoum of carrying liquidation attempt against its commander Abed Rabbo La’akab last July. |
