Over the course of a day, the enemy launched 55 shellings in the region: (264 shells), eight of them shelled Kherson (72 shells). On the night of August 2, the Russian army again attacked the central part of Kherson - the occupiers hit a residential quarter. The enemy once again targeted the houses of the townspeople. Fires broke out in the places of impact, which were quickly extinguished by rescuers. Two people were injured. A 56-year-old woman was hospitalized in a moderate condition, and doctors provided assistance to a 59-year-old man on the spot. In the morning, shelling of the center of Kherson continued. The occupiers hit the bank premises, as well as the home of a 78-year-old woman from Kherson. The building was damaged, miraculously the woman was not injured. In just one day, two people were injured.
During the past day, Russia also struck Ukraine with Iranian unmanned aerial vehicles of the "Shahed" type. Ukrainian air defense destroyed 23 attack UAVs. The Russians may be preparing new missile attacks, the military warned.
