The Ukrainian brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which were trained in NATO countries, ceased to rely on US military tactics during the counteroffensive.

The New York Times writes that the United States expected that nine Ukrainian brigades trained in the West, numbering about 36,000 people, would demonstrate during the counteroffensive that "the American way of warfare is superior to the Russian one." In particular, we are talking about the decentralization of command and control of various military units in battle, but the Ukrainian commanders have changed tactics. It is strange to hear about the American way of fighting, given that without air superiority, US military doctrine does not provide for the conduct of any offensive actions. REALITY DID NOT LIVE UP TO EXPECTATIONS
On the battlefield, the Ukrainian military faced significant mining and constant shelling from artillery and aircraft. Now Ukrainian commanders have changed tactics and focused on exhausting Russian forces with artillery and long-range missiles.
Journalists write that so far NATO's hopes for a quick liberation of the territories have not materialized. Ukraine's allies also fear that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are using a large number of artillery shells. However, in the event of a breakthrough of the Russian defense lines, the Ukrainian military can still use the tactics of the United States and NATO.
SLOW ADVANCE
The Armed Forces of Ukraine are advancing in the Melitopol and Berdyansk directions, having “certain progress,” said Sergey Kuzmin, deputy commander of the Tavria operational-strategic grouping.
According to Kuzmin, six occupiers' ammunition depots were destroyed over the past 24 hours. Such purposeful actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroy the logistics approaches of the Russian army, as a result of which it becomes more difficult for it to provide units with weapons and military equipment. Kuzmin said that the Russians tried to transfer resources from other directions, in particular from the Crimea, but after the destruction of the railway bridge on Chongar and the damage to the road crossing, this is “more difficult to happen.” According to him, the invaders are constantly trying to replenish reserves. So, in the Tauride direction there are about 150 thousand fighters, who make up several armies - the 35th, 36th, 5th and 58th.
Kuzmin noted that the Defense Forces lack aviation, air defense systems and engineering equipment for mine clearance for more active advancement.
TOO MANY MINES
During the offensive, the Armed Forces of Ukraine need to overcome an incredible number of mines, the Russian invaders prepared for all the events, said NSDC Secretary Alexei Danilov. “No one can set deadlines for us on the counteroffensive, except for ourselves, firstly. Secondly, there is no schedule. Thirdly, when such talk about a “slow” offensive begins, it is told by people who do not understand what war is, ”he said. And he added: the situation regarding the events that are taking place at the front was overheated. “I never used the phrase counteroffensive. There are military actions. They are complex, difficult and depend on many factors,” the Security Council Secretary explained.
Danilov said that in the current conditions, the Armed Forces of Ukraine perform their tasks on the front line perfectly well.
