#7  Russian aviation fuel tanker (name SIG) for Syria ops attacked 30 km from Kerch bridge by assumed drone boat. Dead in water.

Also several large explosions near Kerch bridge. Waiting for clarification.

#6  Port side is almost completely submerged. So close to capsizing. Currently at dock, leaking fuel oil. My guess is that the stern will sink into the mud.

Two sister ships were damaged and seen leaving Berdiansk port smoking last year while another landing ship burned down at pier side.

were they using it for something else?

Cargo runs to Crimea and Azov Sea ports. Likely tasked with amphib invasion of Odesa but Moskva sinking proved that was too dangerous.

It appears to be more of a mother ship for actual landing craft

Like an oversized US WW2 LST. It can drive up to the beach, open the front clamshell doors and tanks and trucks drive off.

#5  #3. Four Ropucha class landing ships were transferred just before the war from the Russian Northern Fleet to the Russian Black Sea Fleet.

It is are probably part of that group.

#4  It appears to be more of a mother ship for actual landing craft - big rear well deck, large cargo holds. I'm assuming the class was built in anticipation of adventures of the Novo Rossiya sort, but more likely to be used as a general military transport. (Which now has to hide due to drone threat.)

#3  Landing ship. So, there was going to be an amphibious operation or were they using it for something else?

#1  ...Latest pics show Gornjak listing badly to port. Opinion seems to be they're trying to get her into shallow water so when she does go down they've got a better chance of refloating.
