[Korrespondent] The Russians periodically achieve minor advances. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in turn, reports that the Defense Forces are holding back the enemy's offensive.
The Russians are planning to go on the offensive in the Kupyansko-Limansky direction and use air assault brigades there. This was announced on Monday, September 5, by Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anna Malyar on the air of the telethon.
Malyar noted that the Ukrainian defenders are preparing to repulse the enemy.
"To do this, the command analyzes the situation, calculates the actions of the occupiers. All this work is being done to prevent the enemy from passing either in the Kupyansky or in the Limansky direction," she said.
The deputy minister noted that the Russians are completing reserves for the offensive on this front from the troops that were being restored, and also replenishing the army with units transported from Belarus.
"One part of the Russian troops was being restored - they will replace the conditionally exhausted ones. Some of the troops they bring in from the Russian Federation are newly formed units. There was also a statement by Naev that the Russians took their troops from Belarus and accumulated them where they prepare reserves for attacks on the Kupyansk and Limansk directions," Malyar said.
She added that the enemy plans to use professional air assault brigades in this direction.
Recall that the Ukrainian military had success in the direction of Novodanilovka and Novoprokopovka, Zaporozhye region. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are fixed at the achieved levels.
Recall that over the past day, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled the offensive of Russian troops in three directions - Avdeevsky, Maryinsky and Zaporozhye.
