Last week, the Armed Forces de-occupied two square kilometers of territory in the Bakhmut direction. In total, the freed area under Bakhmut is 51 square kilometers.
Deputy Minister of Defense Hanna Malyar reported this in Telegram.
In the Kupyan direction, the enemy is searching for weak points in the defense of the Armed Forces. The armed forces successfully repelled enemy attacks in the Novoselivsky district of Luhansk region. In the Lyman direction, the enemy continues to regroup troops, and has not taken offensive actions.
On the Bakhmut direction, the Russians unsuccessfully tried to break through our defenses in the areas of Orihovo-Vasylivka, Bohdanivka, Klishchevka, and Kurdyumivka of the Donetsk region.
"In this direction, our troops liberated Andriivka and Klishchiivka. But the enemy is trying with all their might to regain the lost positions. Therefore, our fighters are holding back the enemy's attacks there and entrenching themselves at the achieved boundaries," said Malyar.
She added that the offensive in the Bakhmut direction is being carried out by the forces that are conducting the defense. That is, without the creation of an offensive group, without the use of additional resources and material means.
"For a week, two square kilometers were freed in the Bakhmut direction. The total freed area near Bakhmut is 51 square kilometers," the deputy minister concluded.
In the Avdiivka and Marinka directions, the enemy is unsuccessfully trying to establish full control over Maryinka and surround Avdievka in the Donetsk region. The enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in the areas of Keramik, Avdievka, Severna, Marinka, Donetsk region.
It will be recalled that since the beginning of the offensive, the Defense Forces have freed 260 square kilometers of territory in the southern direction, five square kilometers were deoccupied in the last week.
