[Korrespondent] Ukrainian defense forces continue to knock out the enemy near Zaitsev, Kleshchievka, Odradovka and Ivanovsky.
Ukrainian defenders in the Bakhmut direction destroyed dozens of Russian weapons and succeeded in the areas of four settlements. Representative of the Eastern Group of Armed Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Ilya Yevlash spoke about this on Tuesday, September 26, during a telethon.
“On the southern flank we continue the offensive operation. In particular, we have successes near Zaitsev, Kleshchievka, Odradovka and Ivanovsky. There our defenders continue to knock out the enemy. Under heavy fire they hold the line and gain a foothold on the achieved lines,” Yevlash said.
According to him, the enemy opened fire on our defenders in this direction 580 times. He used aviation four times, and there were 12 military engagements.
At the same time, the Defense Forces destroyed 141 invaders, in addition, the Ukrainian counter-battery units did a very good job: they managed to destroy 10 D-30 guns, three D-20 guns, two Pion installations and four Msta-B howitzers - that is, an entire division of artillery weapons.
In addition, according to Yevlash, the Ukrainian army destroyed enemy electronic reconnaissance equipment: Credo-1E, which detects the movement of equipment and people at any time of the year, the Murom-B observation station and the Irony optical-electronic device. The latter is used by the Russians to adjust fire and track the movements of our troops in this direction.
Let us recall that on Tuesday evening the General Staff reported that since the beginning of the current day, units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have repelled attacks by Russian aggressors in the Bakhmut, Avdeevsky and Maryinsky directions in the Donetsk region, and also continued the offensive operation in the Melitopol direction and assault operations near Bakhmut.
