| #2 It there some reason training centers and defense plants in Ukraine would not be considered as juicy military targets by the Russians? I notice we have two articles on sending 'advisors' to Ukraine, one British and one American. Trial balloons to gauge citizen reaction to escalating the war, perhaps. I can see the Brits going all in on playing The Great Game, but the pushback from Americans who remember Viet Nam might provide an excuse to begin winding down our commitments in the region. |

| #1 British troops will be deployed in Ukraine for the first time under plans being discussed with military chiefs, UK’s new Defence Secretary Grant Shapps has disclosed. In an interview with The Telegraph, Grant Shapps said that he had held talks with Army leaders about shifting an official British-led training programme “into Ukraine” rather than relying on UK and other Nato members’ bases. He also called on more British defence firms to set up factories in Ukraine. UK Army will train Zelensky’s military on the ground and Navy may move into Black Sea. |
