Ukraine ‘very cheap way' to fight Russia, NATO state claims |
2023-10-05 |
[RT] Arming Kiev is a cost-effective way of preventing Moscow from threatening NATO, Dutch Defense Minister Kajsa Ollongren said on Wednesday at the Warsaw Security Forum. Ollongren was asked whether the US and its allies can continue supporting Ukraine "for as long as it takes," given the political in-fighting in Washington. "We cannot pretend that we’ll just wait and see how the American elections are going," she said. "Because they have the same interest, in a way. Of course, supporting Ukraine is a very cheap way to make sure that Russia with this regime is not a threat to the NATO alliance. And it’s vital to continue that support." Does Western political class still capable of considering consequences? |

#12 That is a very ugly statement. Is this why quoting RT is a thought crime? This has been said before and I'm guessing it wasn't very well received then. |

#11 Yeah, the socialist / communist left has multiple sources for their angst. They hate the old Reagan right for killing the USSR. They hate the dead USSR for not prevailing and bringing on worldwide communism. They hate each other for being of suspect purity of devotion to the cause (much as the muzzist hordes also do) They have many sources for their agita and tsuris. |

#9 Grom, I'm seeing the mirror image perspective: Socialism betrayed Russia. (Like it seems to do everyone else.) |

#5 Yeah no doubt. Question: Why is it that we want to fight Russia? Just because you trained for it don't mean we need to do it. |

#2 Ollongren was asked whether the US and its allies can continue supporting Ukraine "for as long as it takes," given the political in-fighting in Washington. Which came first, wars or political in-fighting ? |
