This is stated in a statement by the Lebanese army issued on October 20.“As part of an inspection of the Sahl el-Kalila area, from where rockets were fired in the direction of the occupied Palestinian territories on October 19, one of the army units discovered 25 Grad missile launchers in the mentioned area,” RIA Novosti quotes the text of the statement of the armed forces.
It is noted that during the inspection, a missile ready for launch was discovered at one of the installations; specialists from the Lebanese Army unit dismantled the projectile.
As Regnum reported , on October 17, the Israeli armed forces informed that unknown persons fired anti-tank missiles from Lebanese territory at the Israeli city of Metula, located in the north of the country. As a result of the incident, two Israeli soldiers and one civilian were injured.
The Israel Defense Forces later reported that nine rockets were fired from Lebanon, four of which were intercepted by air defense forces. In response, the IDF launched strikes against targets of the Shiite Hezbollah movement in Lebanon. The targets of the attack were the group's observation post and military infrastructure.
